Bulb Collection 2 - Narcissus 'Tete a Tete' x12, Snowdrops - 'Galanthus' x12, Tulip 'Toronto' x12 * Commercial size bulbs NOT small pre-packs*
Our new bulb collection consist of 3 sets of exciting spring flowering bulbs. That will brighten any border, patio container or rockery.
This collection includes:
Narcissus 'Tete a Tete' - minature daffodils. 'Tete a Tete' are delightful minature daffodils that will brighten even the dullest of spring days. The radiant yellow flowers are produced freely during March and April and reach only 15cm to 18cm (6 or 7 inches) in height, they are perfect for patio pots, window boxes, rockeries and borders or for naturalising in grassy areas. The neat clusters of yellow trumpets make dainty cut flowers. Bulb Size is commercial to produce flowers next spring and these large bulbs will ensure stems will bear up to 3 blooms each. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
Snowdrops - 'Galanthus' - Beautiful Pure Snowy White with Delicate Flowers. When beautiful Snowdrops, or Galanthus to give them their correct name, start to appear in late January it's time to start getting excited about the coming spring season. They are fully hardy and even have especially hardened tips to push through snow. Snowdrops like a moist soil with plenty of humus. They do not like hot, dry positions preferring part shade. They are good among shrubs.
Avoid planting single bulbs - they are much happier in company! Small groups are best. Every other year lift established clumps after flowering, split the clump in 2, replanting half back. Divide the remainder in 2 and you will have 2 new clumps to plant. If you don't divide congested clumps they will eventually fail to flower.
Tulip 'Toronto' - Salmon-Pink Multi-Headed Stems. 'Toronto' is an unusual but popular Tulip having up to 4/5 flower heads per stem, from each bulb. It has the added advantage of flowering late April-early May thus providing colour and interest when you are spending more time on the patio and in the garden .The flower is a pleasing salmon-pink colour and makes it a tulip you should not miss for your garden. It is named after the famous Canadian city.
Hardy perennial bulbs will reward you year on year.
